6 Life Sciences M.D. Degree Programs

The Doctoral Program in Rehabilitation Sciences (PDCR) has as major aim to prepare students with advanced and integrative training in Rehabilitation, and place the student at the forefront of Health Sciences (HS) research. The training offered is oriented towards the current requirements in health-related fields, including Precision Medicine, and to technologically advanced domains. We expect to develop innovative conceptual and methodological tools that response to HS societal challenges. The PDCR also capacitates students to communicate and transfer scientific knowledge and expertise between the academia and healthcare institutions, to invigorate the Health sector. In order to do so, the PDCR has a group of core common courses that provide competences in HS research, a group of specialized ones on advanced formation on Rehabilitation; and a set of optional curricular units that enables the student to develop a curricular path more adapted to its interests. The PDCR lecturing languages are Portuguese and English.

Biotechnology is the exploitation of organisms and biological processes with a clear capacity for transforming production and, therefore, the economy in areas such as human health and the pharmaceutical industry, food production, marine resources, industrial sectors, such as chemistry and energy, and the environment.

The Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) program is designed to develop the characteristics that people want to see in their physicians. The four-year curriculum fuses behavioral, biological, clinical, community health and social sciences with the humanities. Students are grounded in the complex interplay of these disciplines as they pertain to patient care and health outcomes.

The aims of the various programs provided by the Graduate School of Medicine are as follows: The goal of the Human Sciences Master's Program is to contribute to society by cultivating diverse and talented individuals and creating a new network of human sciences that links the mind and body. The fundamental principle of the Health Sciences Master's Program is to foster highly specialized healthcare professionals who have strong ethics and a rich sense of humanity, an international perspective, and the ability to solve clinical problems based on sophisticated scientific evidence. According to this principle, the program aims to contribute to maintaining health, disease/disability prevention, treatment, and care, in addition to improving the quality of life from a spiritual, physical, and social point of view.

Since its inception in 2018, Akkhraratchakumari Veterinary College (AVC) at Walailak University accepted its first class in March 2018. Akkhraratchakumari Veterinary College is the name given by Somdet Phrachao Nong Nang Thoe Chaofa Chulabhorn Walailak Akkhraratchakumari.
