Second Faculty of Medicine offers a six-year full-time M.D. study program in General Medicine.

The standard duration of study is six years. The form of study is full-time only. Graduates of the programme receive a complete medical education and are awarded the title MUDr. (M.D.) after successful completion of studies, entitling them to apply for positions in all M.D. specialization fields. Since the academic year 1996/97, tuition takes place adhering to a modernized and revised study programme that allows students to gain integrated knowledge in theoretical and preclinical fields. Common clinical problems are explained using problem-oriented learning and clinical training focuses not only on the application of theoretical knowledge but also on developing practical skills. Tuition goals are in accordance with the European Program for Medical Faculties Euroskills, which the Third Faculty of Medicine is taking part in. Study at the Third Faculty of Medicine is compatible with study at other medical faculties.

The 4-year course of study leading to the doctor of medicine (M.D.) degree employs a variety of educational strategies, including problem based learning and clinical experiences to enable students to gain the competencies expected of all physicians. Additionally, the program offers an emphasis on providing technology-enhanced healthcare in service to the community.

The Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) program is designed to develop the characteristics that people want to see in their physicians. The four-year curriculum fuses behavioral, biological, clinical, community health and social sciences with the humanities. Students are grounded in the complex interplay of these disciplines as they pertain to patient care and health outcomes.

The structure and format of the MD curricula and the teaching management system are original, holding the copyright. They are specially designed to increase the efficiency and comprehensibility of the learning process: Modules are integrated into organ – system-oriented rotations.

Designed for those with a bachelor’s degree, the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program is completed within four years. The first six terms of the program are dedicated to completing the Basic Sciences, followed by a Review of the Basic Sciences.

The Medical Program^ is comprised of two sequential degrees – the Bachelor of Medical Studies and the Doctor of Medicine (MD).

n the first two years the curriculum principally covers theoretical courses (Biochemistry, Biology, Physics, Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, etc.). The third year of studies comprises preclinical courses (Pathophysiology, Pathology) and prepares students for the study of clinical courses (Surgery, Internal Medicine).

The medical program at Alte University aims to prepare internationally qualified, highly skilled medical professionals by instilling contemporary skills, values, and methods in both practical and theoretical applications of medicine. The program encompasses various teaching methodologies and is divided into four phases, each emphasizing different aspects of medical education.
