    About: The Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program is designed to equip students with extensive knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine. The curriculum emphasizes clinical practice, animal care, and a strong foundation in medical sciences, combining theoretical learning with hands-on experience in different settings.
    Career Outcomes: Graduates can pursue various career paths including small and large animal veterinary practice, public health, research, and academia. Opportunities also exist in animal welfare organizations, government agencies, and pharmaceutical companies.

Since its inception in 2018, Akkhraratchakumari Veterinary College (AVC) at Walailak University accepted its first class in March 2018. Akkhraratchakumari Veterinary College is the name given by Somdet Phrachao Nong Nang Thoe Chaofa Chulabhorn Walailak Akkhraratchakumari. We are the first and the only international Program for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in Thailand. We embedded 21st employability skills in our international curriculum. As a result, our graduates will be competent in technical skills and international communication skills.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree (D.V.M.) The degree will be conferred to graduates after the completion of all requirements. Graduates can use the title of “Doctor” or “Dr.” before their names. The veterinarian is one of the top career choices in health sciences in the United States. The admission rate for students interested in pursuing a medical doctor degree or veterinary medicine degree is very competitive. One in ten students is admitted to veterinary school, while one in six students are admitted to Medical school. The average annual wage for veterinarians is 70,000 US dollars (180,000 baht).
