Introduction

Doctorate in Rehabilitation Sciences

The Doctoral Program in Rehabilitation Sciences (PDCR) has as major aim to prepare students with advanced and integrative training in Rehabilitation, and place the student at the forefront of Health Sciences (HS) research. The training offered is oriented towards the current requirements in health-related fields, including Precision Medicine, and to technologically advanced domains. We expect to develop innovative conceptual and methodological tools that response to HS societal challenges. The PDCR also capacitates students to communicate and transfer scientific knowledge and expertise between the academia and healthcare institutions, to invigorate the Health sector. In order to do so, the PDCR has a group of core common courses that provide competences in HS research, a group of specialized ones on advanced formation on Rehabilitation; and a set of optional curricular units that enables the student to develop a curricular path more adapted to its interests. The PDCR lecturing languages are Portuguese and English.
