International PhD in Food Engineering and Biotechnology The purpose of this International PhD programme is to train a new generation of globally renowned researchers to apply approaches of engineering and biotechnology to food processing by giving them the opportunities to transfer and exchange knowledge with national and international research centers and industries.

The PhD programme in Health Sciences is a structured research education and consists of independent research work with a doctoral thesis (150 credits) and a training component (30 credits). The programme is standardized to a three-year duration, extended to four years for mandatory duties. Part-time study is possible, with a requirement that at least 50% of the working hours will be dedicated to the PhD programme.

The Ph.D. students are involved in the scientific research of the supervisors and scientific members of the Doctoral School. The research topics are continuously being expanded due to the new results achieved by the Ph.D. students. These novel results will be integrated into the research topics.

The International PhD Program in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences of the Department of Agriculture, Food, Environment and Forestry (DAGRI) combines expertise from many disciplines in the agro-environmental field aimed at training researchers, enabling them to carry out qualified scientific activities in the field of plant and animal production, considering also aspects of eco-sustainability, climate change and recovery of polluted and degraded areas in order to restore their agricultural cultivation capabilities.

The PhD in Veterinary Sciences offers advanced training through research, combining rigorous coursework with supervision from nationally and internationally recognized researchers. The primary aim in our doctoral school is to train scientists who can continue their creative scientific work related to leading fields of chemistry and environmental sciences after completion of their MSc studies. The doctoral school was established in 2000 as the highest level of education in chemistry and environmental sciences at the University of Pannonia. Since then, more than 125 degrees have been granted.
