If English is not your first language, this international foundation year will give you the necessary academic English skills to study for an undergraduate degree in UK higher education. As part of your course in International Foundation Year, you’ll: Build your intercultural awareness and self-confidence.

The Foundation Year is a nine-month, full immersion preparatory course in Italian for international students willing to enroll in a BA taught in Italian at #UNIPAVIA. The Foundation Year is aimed at students who do not meet the minimum requirement – 12 years of schooling – to access the Italian higher education system.

The Foundation Course (FC) is a 2-semester study program that allows students with less than 12 years of schooling to fulfil the prerequisites for pursuing a bachelor’s program in LUM and any Italian University. In particular, it is aimed at students. The course is also intended for those who wish to improve their background and linguistic skills even if they have a minimum of 12 years of schooling.

Foundation Studies programs are a direct academic pathway to first-year undergraduate degree study, or equivalent. The programs act as a bridging course for international students who wish to study a university undergraduate degree course but don’t yet meet academic requirements and/or have the English language skills for tertiary study.

The Foundation year prepares students extensively to learn and develop foundational academic skills in academic English, critical thinking, communication skills, and core academic skills. In the following year, students progress onto one of the College’s BA programs.

FCertEAP for Postgraduate Studies (20 weeks) is for students: who hold a conditional offer for postgraduate study at the University of Auckland or other New Zealand tertiary institutions1, and, who do not meet the English language requirements for their university study. Students who successfully complete this program with the required grade will meet the English language requirements for university study.

The UQ Foundation Program is designed to enable international students to meet the minimum entry requirements for their preferred UQ undergraduate program. You will study five courses (subjects) for the entire duration of the Foundation Program, usually two core courses and three elective courses. You can choose your electives to meet the entry requirements for your chosen undergraduate program.
