The Associate of Arts (DTA) degree with Specialization in World Languages provides the required preparation for successful transfer into a bachelor's degree program in World Languages at the Junior level. The Associate of Arts (DTA) degree is a Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA) degree. The following course set fulfills the requirement of the Specialization in World Languages for the Associate of Arts (DTA) Degree. This specialization enables students to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in multiple languages, and to analyze, examine and explore oral and written communication using a variety of topics through authentic materials, in all major time frames.

These short programs are intended for students at beginner, elementary, or intermediate levels (A0, A1, A2, or B1). They allow for rapid and effective learning of the French language at each student’s individual pace. These courses include oral expression alongside French language classes.

The Preparatory Program of Romanian Language for Foreign Students is part of the Faculty of Political Sciences, Letters and Communication, the Letters Department, “Valahia” the University of Targovişte, and has a duration of 2 semesters (28 weeks, 60 credits).

Certificate in Arabic Studies is complementary to the full-time Certificate in Arabic. It is designed for those unable to follow a full-time programme and those interested in a different balance of language and non-language-based courses. No prior knowledge of Arabic is required

Languages are the key to the understanding and appreciation of value systems and social attitudes of different cultures. Furthermore, acquiring communication skills in other languages facilitates the exchange of ideas and transactions, and increases awareness, appreciation, and understanding of cultural diversity.

Our approach is a communicative one; we emphasize proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in every course. In addition to our focus on communication in the target language, our courses provide students with the strong grammatical base necessary to progress beyond the elementary level. Moreover, as our department name suggests, cultural instruction is a cornerstone of each and every course we teach. Beyond language classes, we also offer courses that focus on world cultures. Outside of the classroom, our department is active in advising various foreign language student groups.

This Certificate of Higher Education in Language Studies offers a flexible introduction to the study of languages, introduces you to key concepts in language learning, and develops your study skills. You can choose French, German, and Spanish at beginner and intermediate levels, or you can increase your knowledge and skills in using English for academic study.

Coursework in Language Arts emphasizes both the form and content of linguistic communication. Students will learn to examine communicative acts within a wider social context, and to apply the principles of language and rhetoric toward the development of logical thought, precise and effective expression, and critical evaluation.

If English is not your first language, this international foundation year will give you the necessary academic English skills to study for an undergraduate degree in UK higher education. As part of your course in International Foundation Year, you’ll: Build your intercultural awareness and self-confidence.

The Foundation Year is a nine-month, full immersion preparatory course in Italian for international students willing to enroll in a BA taught in Italian at #UNIPAVIA. The Foundation Year is aimed at students who do not meet the minimum requirement – 12 years of schooling – to access the Italian higher education system.

This specialized program offers an intensive preparation for master studies in the field of French Language, Literature, and Culture for BA degree holders. It provides students coming from different academic fields with an introduction to literary and cultural studies, linguistic theories, and literary criticism, as well as to French and Francophone arts, history, geography, and civilization.

This Diploma of Higher Education in Language Studies will equip you to communicate in different languages, develop your cultural understanding, and explore the structure and use of language in different contexts. Starting with a broad grounding in the study of language, you’ll study either two modern languages – choosing from French, German and Spanish – or combine one with English.
