The mission of the ESOL Department is to develop students’ academic and intercultural communication skills, vital to life in the United States. The program provides a complete course of instruction as well as electives in the linguistic and pragmatic aspects of the English language, thereby enabling students to acclimate to and fully participate in diverse communities ranging from local to international, and from university to college.

In partnership with Scottish Borders Community and Development, Borders College offers English classes for adults living in the Scottish Borders for whom English is not the first language.

The ESOL program is for students who need to improve their English skills before starting a degree at Keiser University. The program focuses on improving students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while also teaching them academic English. It is not a degree program, but it prepares students for a degree of their choice.

The ESOL department offers a range of courses which will appeal to you if English is not your first language.

The ESOL School offers a wide range of courses from Entry Level 1 to Level 2, which will appeal to you if English is not your first language. The courses are taught by a strong team of highly qualified teachers who are very experienced, skilled and committed and will go the extra mile to support you.

Every year Ebenezer Community College enrols at least 200 students to undertake Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing in Entry 1, 2, and 3. Our ESOL training is delivered to standard for City and Guilds the awarding body and tutors responsible for delivering training are experienced and qualified.

ESOL courses are for people who do not have English as their first language and who want to improve their language skills to get more out of their life in the U.K.

Cambridge English exams are accepted by over 15,000 universities, employers, and governments around the world. Cambridge exams can open doors to higher education, improve employment opportunities, and increase learners’ choices for study or work because they are globally recognized.

We provide English Language courses for students to study at university, polytechnic, or college in New Zealand or other English-speaking countries. Gain pathways to further study at the tertiary level.

21 hours per week face to face teaching, plus four hours optional guided self-study. Elementary to Advanced level. Course length up to 60 weeks. The interactive methods of the General English classes extend into specialist elective classes in the afternoon. Students have the opportunity to practise their acquired skills in real-life situations.

English as a second language, beginner and intermediate. Advancing into one of many fields of medical study.

The Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE) is an Upper-Intermediate exam that provides intensive instruction in speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar. FCE indicates sufficient English proficiency to be of practical use in clerical, secretarial, and managerial jobs in many industries, particularly tourism, where contact with English speakers is required.

Before studying English as an Adult Learner, your language skills will need to be assessed. At Joseph Chamberlain College, we offer English classes at Level 1 (Pre-GCSE) and Level 2 (GCSE Equivalent), so we will assess which level is the most suitable starting place for you.
