Bachelor in Liberal Arts & Sciences (Amsterdam University College)
As a student at Amsterdam University College (AUC), you will learn to analyze complex issues from different perspectives by drawing on various academic fields of knowledge. Discussions start with the ‘big questions’ in science and society and lead to in-depth study in a wide range of academic disciplines.
The curriculum features six interdisciplinary themes: Energy, Climate and Sustainability; Life, Evolution and the Universe; Health and Well-being; Information, Communication, Cognition; Social Systems; and Cities and Cultures. These themes will provide you with a solid orientation as you decide on your major in the sciences, social sciences or humanities.
As a member of the AUC student community, you will be part of a vibrant international group of young people interested in studying real-world problems that cross the boundaries of academic disciplines. By working in a diverse environment of different languages and cultures, you will develop your creativity, critical thinking, and your problem-solving and communication skills.
