We aim to develop a master's programme in the cybersecurity field to get both academic and industry appreciation, due to the high-level knowledge, competencies and skills provided to the students attending our master's programme. Its main purpose is to provide the students with an overall perspective of the cybersecurity field, still letting them come into contact with specific, real-life cybersecurity problems, challenges, attack and defence techniques, tools and solutions.

The EC2U Joint Master’s Degree “LIFELINE – Lifelong Well-being and Healthy Ageing” is a 2-year Master’s Degree (4 semesters, 30 ECTS each, 120 ECTS in total) that provides students with the knowledge, skills, professional and research competences necessary to the specialists of interdisciplinary approaches concerning lifelong well-being and healthy ageing. This degree is in line with professional practice within national and European public institutions and private companies and will form high-level experts in the bio-psychosocial fields related to well-being and ageing.

The Faculty of Philosophy, in a partnership with the Faculty of Business and Administration, are pleased to announce the launch of their new jointly organized MA program in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, starting October 2017. It is the first PPE program in Romania, and one of the very few in Eastern Europe.

Planning of New Tourism Products and Destination Management is the first and, so far, the only master's degree programme in Romania in tourism, oriented towards innovation and tourism destination management. The new master’s degree study programme taught in English was established in response to a shortage of academic and professional training in Romania in the management of tourist destinations, as well as to satisfy the need to provide tourism skills and competencies worldwide.

The two-year master program in comparative politics taught in English at the Political Science Faculty of the University of Bucharest is among the very few of its kind in Central, Eastern, and South-East Europe. The program provides students with an intellectually stimulating analysis of the key issues in regional and European politics, such as the changing dynamics of state power, the dimensions of regime change, and the challenge posed to states by ethnonationalism and political radicalisms. The program is on track to become of the elite graduate programs of the University of Bucharest in terms of internationalization and EU academic exchanges. A wide range of academic and institutional partnerships ensure enhanced professional skills for prospective students.

At present, there are few programs of this type in the world, and ours is the only taught in English in Europe. Organized in collaboration with Ca’ Foscari University, Venice and Institut de Practices Philosophiques, Argenteuil, our 2-year MA’s main purpose is the intense and comprehensive high-quality certified formation of well-trained professionals in applied/practical philosophy, which include philosophical counseling and consultancy for individuals and organizations, ethical counseling, and philosophy for children. Employing solid philosophical knowledge and general counseling skills, the successful graduates will facilitate the thinking of a client or group of people via the five methods generated by philosophy: critical thinking, conceptual analysis, phenomenology, thought experiments, and creative thinking.

The program provides the premises for the development of a unique managerial culture through an educational system that offers students the necessary skills for successfully conducting nowadays businesses. With classes taught entirely in English, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration develops a holistic approach of organizational management which revolves around a highly ranked curriculum incorporating theoretical and methodological aspects of business administration as well as practical aspects that define entrepreneurial behavior. After completion of this program, the graduates will have the necessary skills to identify business opportunities and develop business strategies for both start-ups and existing companies, to perform feasibility analysis of new business ideas and develop business plans, to apply concepts and principles of human resource management and knowledge management, to develop marketing strategies to sustain businesses, as well as to implement efficient operations within companies, and to apply strategic and ethical behavior.

European Studies program aims to analyze the national and transnational developments on the European continent seen as a whole and its mission is the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary training of future specialists in the field of European studies in order for them to develop the capacity to understand and communicate with people belonging to different cultural environments, to lead and organize international teams, to develop abilities in managing the relations with partners and mass media against the European background.

The main objectives that this Master's program seeks to achieve can be summarized as follows: Appropriation and deepening of concepts, theories and methodology specific to the Department of International Management. At the same time, the master's program aims to deepen knowledge among students through DAAD, ERASMUS and ROTARY scholarships, but also to prepare them professionally for developing the necessary practical skills in German-speaking companies.

The master program focusses on the development of software development competences – for industry-oriented practitioners and industrial researchers, focusing on skills for working in novel or emerging paradigms with state-of-the-art technologies, and, respectively, scientific research competencies – for those aiming to pursue a doctoral degree or a research-oriented career in either academy or industry, emphasis is placed on how to organize a scientific research effort, covering methodologies, literature analysis and dissemination guidance on the topics addressed by the program.

Specific objectives of specialization: preparing mechatronics engineers for multidisciplinary research; initiating technical cooperation in the area of advanced mechatronics by deepening specialization and applied mechatronics; deepening mechatronic systems using nuanced and relevant evaluation criteria and methods - simulation modeling - to formulate value judgments and base constructive decisions; acquisition of information technology with applicability in mechatronics through the development of practical skills for design and technological construction of components and methods of using acquisition systems and image processing; preparing students for a thorough knowledge of components of mechatronic systems; developing creative behavior with specific mechatronic products through the development of professional projects and/or research; underlining the need for diagnosis and maintenance of mechatronic systems; skills needed for students to design, optimize and deploy applications in industrial mechatronics, services, medicine, the military, virtual and augmented reality applications, etc; addressing problems in the spirit of constantly dynamic economy requirements.

The International Business Administration (acronym: IBA) research master program addresses the actual problems of companies and is suitable for those professional graduates interested in the issues in the areas of international business. The length of the study program is four semesters (2 years).
