A one-year master-level accredited programme in English with full-time daily course offerings for lawyers in the heart of Central-Europe by the Faculty of Law of the Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary, Budapest.

The Institute for Art Theory and Media Studies at ELTE is currently the only higher institution of education in Hungary to offer an English-language MA degree in Film Studies.

The serious ethnic conflicts of the region, the demand for countries to meet European norms in the area of minority issues, the increase in migration, and the simultaneous growth of xenophobia, anti-Semitism, and homophobia all contribute to a pressing need in Eastern and Central Europe for highly trained professionals who have the insight and expertise to identify the main political, social and psychological reasons behind tensions and discriminations and who are also equipped with the skills and techniques to handle and moderate these conflicts.

The Advanced Practice Registered MSc in Nursing APRN (Primary Care) provides patient-centered safe and high-quality care by partnering with patients and their caregivers. They will blend their clinical expertise with health prevention and health management and deliver a unique blend of nursing and medical care. Nurse Practitioners in Hungary will be clinicians with advanced degrees in acute and emergency care areas, and they will be able to do assessments, perform and interpret diagnostics tests, set diagnoses as well as prescribe medications and other treatments. APRNs can work in their full scope of practice in the countries and in facilities where this degree is recognized on a national level.

The goal of the program is to train professionals who are capable of practicing archaeology with their acquired general knowledge in archaeology and in selected specializations. The program provides comprehensive knowledge of a number of fields in the archaeology of Central Europe and Eurasia. It focuses on topics such as the archaeology of rituals, the archaeology of art, styles, and identities, the archaeology of war, the archaeology of feasts and food, social archaeology, the archaeology of death, trade, transport, and mobility.

The goal of this program is to extend the knowledge of BSc level students, and to learn about different meteorological phenomena, their driving forces, and to gain knowledge on the state-of-the-art methodology that is used in the practice and also about climate change and its environmental consequences. Students have to learn about the multidisciplinary nature of meteorology and the possible connections with different other scientific fields and sectors.

The goal of this program is to offer students in-depth knowledge on the topics of globalization, international institutions, security, development studies, and human rights. It enables our graduate students to understand and analyze complex political and social problems that go beyond state borders and cultural boundaries.

The three-semester MA program in International Water Governance and Water Diplomacy, starting September 2024, offers up-to-date, practice-oriented education for practising and future water managers, diplomats, and national and international civil servants engaged in transboundary or global environmental issues.

Graduates of the training are familiar with the artistic traditions and oustanding works of contemporary art. They know the means of expression and possibilities of universal graphic arts, as well as its materials and techniques. The University of Pécs, Faculty of Music and Visual Art’s MA in Ceramic Designdepartment has a close partnership and is located at the same site as the world-famous Zsolnay Porcelain Factory in Pécs. Various types of forming methods from handcrafting to design and spacious studio places together with academic level personal tutoring provide the students the opportunity of finding their own artistic way.

The goal of this program is to train perfect professionals in the theoretical foundations and basic methods of educational sciences. Students will obtain an integrated knowledge of educational sciences and pedagogical practice, and neighboring disciplines (philosophy, psychology, sociology, economy, and law).

The goal of this program is to train Cartographers with a professional cartographic approach based on high level theoretical and practical knowledge. This program is recommended to applicants who want to able to manage and coordinate cartographic and geoinformatics research projects as well as to have the knowledge and skills to solve traditional cartographic or information technology-based problems.

The Materials Science program is an interdisciplinary M.S. program aimed at providing a rigorous education in materials science and the fundamental physics and chemistry that underlie this discipline. Educational goals are achieved through both coursework and training in cross-disciplinary research supervised by one science faculty member. The courses offer an overview of the types of materials; their chemical and physical structures; and properties.
