Program description


With a rapidly growing greenhouse and landscaping sector, the Associate Diploma in Horticulture will enable you to gain the knowledge needed to have many different career options within the horticultural sector. This program gives students the opportunity to grow their creativity and develop relevant skills through practical labs in our greenhouse and on our campus grounds.

Program Features

  • Practical training on our campus grounds and in our campus greenhouses
  • Over 700 different species of trees, shrubs, and flowers across campus
  • Gain the knowledge needed to write the Ministry of the Environment Exterminator Licence exam
  • Optional experiential learning credit is offered through international travel opportunities
  • Diverse job opportunities after successful completion of the program

Admission requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or Equivalent
  • A minimum cumulative average of 65% in 6 Grade 11 or Grade 12 U, C, M, or O level courses (excludes Co-op credits)
  • Includes a minimum of Grade 11C Math and Grade 12C English
  • OR Mature Student Status*
