Equine Care and Management

This unique program is great for equine enthusiasts who want to turn their passion into a career. In this program, you will learn about equine nutrition, reproduction, health, conditioning and management. You will gain knowledge in equine science combined with applied knowledge and broaden your equine business, finance, and management skills.

Program Features

  • Combination of in-depth equine theory and applied business courses
  • Practical training with horses from various areas of the equine industry
  • Learn from experienced and knowledgeable instructors from various disciplines
  • Two location delivery method: Year one in Clinton, ON at REACH, year two in Ridgetown, ON
  • Four-week industry work placement at the end of semester 4

Admission requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or Equivalent
  • A minimum cumulative average of 65% in 6 Grade 11 or Grade 12 U, C, M, or O level courses (excludes Co-op credits)
  • Includes a minimum of Grade 11C Math and Grade 12C English
  • OR Mature Student Status*
