The Bachelor of Integrated Studies is an excellent option if you want to pursue interdisciplinary studies, combine minors, or change your educational focus partway through your degree. You can also include credits earned while completing a certificate or diploma at UFV or other accredited community colleges or universities.

There are three options for admission to this program:
- Option 1: Secondary school (for students with secondary school graduation only)
- Option 2: University entrance (for students who have attended some post-secondary school)
- Option 3: Non-traditional student entrance

The UFV Bachelor of Integrated Studies (BIS) program allows you to fully customize your program to meet your learning and professional objectives. As part of the program, you will demonstrate competency in six areas:
- Effective Communications
- Use and interpretation of quantitative information
- Intercultural engagement
- Professional and applied skills
These competency requirements are met using a mixture of courses, short programs, and professional experiences. You can meet all six competencies through UFV courses alone or by using UFV and transfer credits.

Bachelor of Integrated Studies (BIS) degree
The UFV Bachelor of Integrated Studies program is a stepping stone into many different careers, depending on how you customize your program of study.
Common fields that many Integrated Studies graduates pursue include education, government and administrative support, community programming and outreach, aviation (for students with a thematic option in aviation), and business.
