This specialist certificate in medical education is designed by experts in simulation for educators using simulation in their teaching. It will help you analyse everyday teaching and learning opportunities, and will enhance your knowledge and skills as a trainer.

At the Centre for Medical Education, founded over 40 years ago by Professor Ronald Harden OBE, we help medical educators reach their goals, and ensure they're prepared to train the workforce of the future.
Our wide-ranging curriculum fits around you and your working life, whether you're new to teaching and training, or wish to advance existing skills and knowledge.
You'll start with one core module Learning & Teaching in Medical Education, and we recommend taking the second core module The Principles of Assessment in Medical Education before you join the final module, Simulation for Healthcare Education and Practice. The two core modules will give you a strong overview of core concepts.
A specialist module in simulation will then develop and consolidate your understanding and interpretation of simulation to promote and support its application in healthcare education and practice.

An undergraduate degree in a healthcare discipline, or an equivalent qualification / equivalent credits subject to the approval of the Course Director
