The LLB Law with Management Studies degree is a two years degree programme which will help students to become confident, competent lawyers, able to practise almost anywhere in the world.
As a result of studying for the Buckingham LLB you will become proficient in written and oral presentation, perfect your research techniques and learn to solve problems in a logical and structured way.
The study of law requires intense discussion of the nature of problems, understanding different viewpoints and analysis to resolve them. This is best accomplished through the type of small group teaching in which the Buckingham Law School specialises – and which makes them different from most other law schools.
A second class honours Law with Management Studies degree or better guarantees you a place on our LLM programme in International and Commercial Law, increasing your specialist knowledge and enabling you to acquire two degrees in only three years.
All Buckingham LLB programmes (whether single honours or combined honours) lead to an English ‘qualifying law degree’ – recognised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (formerly the Law Society) and the Bar Council as qualifying its holder to be exempt from the academic stage of training for entry into the legal profession. Some countries have additional requirements and if you are an overseas student you should confirm exactly what subjects you must take in order to qualify for your jurisdiction, we can usually accommodate these requirements.
At undergraduate level, LLB Law with Management Studies have no more than five students in each tutorial, allowing you to develop your skills in a friendly environment. Your teachers get to know you personally and are on hand to support you with your studies.
Students wishing to study the LLB (Hons) Law with Management Studies degree programme must meet the following criteria:
- UCAS points: 300,
- English language: IELTS of 6.5 or TOEFL of 233
