Double degree
The Master in Business Economics also offers a unique double degree programme, together with Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management (ULB). This gives you the opportunity to study at two top schools in Belgium and obtain two Master's degrees in two years' time.
Admission requirements
If you have obtained a diploma outside of Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxembourg, you should submit an application for screening through Mobility Online. Applications open on December 1 of the academic year preceding enrollment.
You will need to provide the following information:
- Academic degree: you must hold an academic bachelor degree (at least 180 ECTS). If you are in your final bachelor year, you are also encouraged to apply.
- Academic background: The admission board will evaluate whether you have a good working knowledge and understanding of Research methodology, Mathematics, Macro- and Micro-economics, Financial and Management Accounting, Corporate Finance, Marketing and Management. In some cases, a preparatory programme may be required.
- Academic results
GMAT or GRE
Unless exempted, your application should include:
- an overall GMAT score of 600 or higher, or
- a GRE with a minimum score of 157 on quantitative and verbal reasoning.
If you have obtained your (business) economics degree at one of the following institutions, you are exempted from submitting a GMAT /GRE:
- A Belgian university;
- A university ranked in the global top 400 in the most recent edition of THE or QS World Ranking;
- One of FBE's exchange partners;
- A university with an AACSB, EFMD or EQUIS accreditation
Language requirements
This programme is taught entirely in English. If your degree was not issued by a recognised educational institution in Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxembourg, you will have to provide evidence of your level of English via a:
- TOEFL: internet-based TOEFL level: minimum 80.
- Academic IELTS: a minimum score of at least 6.5 overall, with minimum 6.0 for each part.
- ITACE: minimum B2
- Prior full English-language diploma: in the UK, Ireland, US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand
