Prepare for a Career as a Modelling and Simulation Professional

With a Master of Science in Computational Science, you will receive advanced mathematical modeling and high performance methods training in numerical simulation open new perspectives for science, research and economy.

Exploiting the capabilities of modern supercomputers, increasingly complex problems can be tackled - covering a very broad spectrum of disciplines, from exact and natural sciences to economics and social sciences, including bio-medical, environmental, materials, and engineering sciences.

Throughout the studies, the student will continuously work on projects, in close collaboration with ICS partners such as CSCS and SUPSI. The program combines strong competences in advanced scientific computing, informatics and high performance computing and provides a unique research environment.

Personal assistance and mentoring is a natural part of the modern teaching environment of the MSc in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science program due to the high ratio between the number of professors and that of students.

The program also features a project-based approach ensuring continuous experience on real life problem solving based on a sound theoretical background and state-of-the-art knowledge in methodology and development.

If you want to pursue a career as a modelling and simulation professional, the MSc in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science is the right program for you!
