The Graduate Certificate is designed for lawyers, students, business executives, patent or trademark practitioners, technology managers or professionals who want to gain substantial knowledge and practical skills through academic coursework.
Supported by UNH Law's strong IP foundation, the Commerce and Technology program is built at the intersection of business and law to tackle evolving legal issues facing new business and e-commerce in the global information age economy.
Expert faculty tailor courses to current events and developments, and the program offers flexibility to match the career objectives of each individual student. Course work addresses rapidly-developing areas of the law, such as cybercrime and consumers' private information.
Admission requirements
Applicants whose native language is not English must provide a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score, taken within three years from the time of application submission. If you have earned an undergraduate university degree where the language of instruction was English, no TOEFL or IELTS examination is required. However, you must have signed documentation from an administrator at the university confirming English language as the medium of instruction. The University Of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School Of Law’s Institution Code is 3396 for TOEFL. No code is required for IELTS. No other test of English language proficiency will be accepted.

- Paper: 550
- IBT: 80
Accepted IELTS score: 6.5
The Admission Committee may waive the proof of language ability requirement under compelling circumstances.
