About this program

A globalised food industry and accelerating population figures mean that food safety is of critical importance to billions of consumers and producers worldwide. For anyone working in or hoping to move into the agri-food industry, this degree will give you the requisite scientific and practical understanding of current trends and the know-how to deliver solutions.
We will guide you through a comprehensive exploration of the issues involved, from regulatory processes to the role of public institutions and policy makers. You are then able to tailor your studies to focus on an area of special interest that aligns with your future plans, whether that be poverty and food security, consumer habits, tourism or a host of other options open to you at the RAU.
You will ultimately be well placed to deploy your expertise in an NGO setting, within business and industry, academia and research, or with any number of government or institutional bodies concerned with the highest standards of food safety and management.
The course offers 2 entry points in September and January.
