About this program

This integrated Masters course combines undergraduate and postgraduate study over four years, and students graduate with a single Masters-level degree. It's designed to provide students with the opportunity to study the subject in greater depth than would ordinarily be achieved during a standard three-year undergraduate course.

Accredited by the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), this course explores the world that we share, and the physical and social processes associated with it.

You’ll explore developments at the forefront of geographic information systems (GIS), unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and remote sensing technologies, and their application within research, business and disaster management.

The course also includes the chance to go on residential field trips both in the UK and overseas (these currently include Spain, North Wales and Derbyshire).

Our uniquely positioned, rural Brackenhurst Campus acts as an outdoor classroom where you can put your learning directly into practice and gain a wealth of practical-based skills. It’s only a short hop to the bright lights of Nottingham city centre though, so you really do get the best of both worlds.
