Mass communications

The popular Bachelor of Mass Communication education course at Murdoch University offers students the skills and knowledge required to work in the exciting fields of media, journalism and public relations. Committed teaching staff with industry experience provide students with media reporting and writing skills in the modern Media Arts Centre. Students also learn about the world of contemporary global media with units on subjects such as new media technologies, communication policy, media audiences and public opinion.

Students can major in Journalism, Public Relations or Communication, Technology & Policy, or combine two of these in a double major. Students can also enhance their degree by combining any one of these with double major options in the School of Media Communication & Culture or elsewhere in Murdoch University. Students with good academic records can do an industry placement unit in their final year of study. Honours and postgraduate courses are also available.
