Program description

Doctor of Medicine - Basic Sciences

The five semesters of the Basic Sciences curriculum can be summarized quite simply: First you will learn about the healthy body, and then you will study the unhealthy body. Along the way you will get your first taste of how to apply that knowledge clinically (which will be the primary focus of your second five semesters). At the completion of your Basic Sciences semesters, you will take the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) Step 1.
