Medical Bioscience (Including Foundation Year) BSc (Hons) (Full-time)
Our Medical Bioscience (including foundation year) BSc (Hons) is a four-year course that will provide you with the perfect start to your university education. You’ll gain an in-depth knowledge of human health and disease as well as bioinformatics, molecular modelling, pathology and virology, equipping you with the skills you'll need to join the scientific community.
This course is ideal if you don’t have the entry requirements needed to start an undergraduate degree. The built-in foundation year will give you the skills and confidence to succeed in the following three years of your course and in your career upon graduating.
You’ll have the option to complete a 15-week work placement as part of this degree.
Admission requirements
In addition to the University's standard entry requirements, you should have:
- at least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma)
- English Language and Mathematics GCSEs at grade C (grade 4) or above (or equivalent)
Applicants who meet the UCAS points criteria but who obtained a grade D/grade 3 in English and/or maths at GCSE may be offered a University test in these areas.
