Human Resource Development
Human Resource Development (HRD) is the strategic and integrated use of training and development, organizational development, and other management activities to improve individual and organizational performance. The HRD program has been developed based on resources and guidelines from the Association for Talent Development, the Academy of Human Resource Development, and the Society for Industrial Organizational Psychology. The program focuses on the development of student knowledge and capabilities in the following nine competency areas.

Qualification
Upon completion of the program students who major in human resource development will be able to:
- Describe, design, recommend, and evaluate training and development activities aimed at increasing the performance of individuals or groups in organizational settings.
- Describe, design, recommend, and evaluate organizational development activities bases on behavioral science that are aimed at increasing the effectiveness of organizations.
- Describe, design, recommend and evaluate talent management strategies or systems to attract, utilize, and retain people with the skills and aptitude required to meet organizational goals.
- Develop a holistic perspective of HRD activities by creating an HRD project aligned with the strategic business objectives of an organization.
