About this program
International Management M.Sc.
Students learn methods and instruments for managing globally active corporations and are prepared to assume corresponding management tasks, including those, which are innovative and unexpected, and to find solutions for practical problems at business enterprises.
Admission requirements
Students with an accredited undergraduate degree (Bachelor or "Diplom") primarily in the field of business administration or economics
Admission to the Master’s programme is conditional on successful completion of undergraduate studies in related subjects, primarily in the areas of business or economics (but also industrial engineering and business information technology). This means that at least 60 credit points (ECTS) must be from these areas. Since the study programme is taught English, appropriate language skills are also required (English B2). For questions regarding the language skills and the required evidence, please consult the Student Administration or the International Office (contact information below).
To be awarded the Master’s degree, you need a total of 300 credit points, 90 credit points from the Master’s course and 210 credit points from your previous undergraduate programme. If you only obtained 180 credit points from your earlier undergraduate studies, you can make up the shortfall of 30 credit points during the Master’s study course by completing an internship, studying a semester abroad or attending further modules.

Tuition
There's no getting around it - money is an important issue for students these days. The first piece of good news for students at Fulda University is that there are usually no tuition fees at universities in Germany! Thanks to generous subsidies and support from the state, students from Germany and international students alike have access to higher education at a very low cost.
There is, however, a semester fee of around €300. This fee helps to cover the cost of student services and student government and pays for your Semester Ticket, which entitles you to free public transport in Fulda and the federal state of Hesse.
Qualification
The successful commercialisation of products and services in international markets and the globalisation of value-added chains are just two examples of the challenges that companies are facing in heightened international competition. The Master’s in International Management is ideal preparation for the management tasks required to successfully tackle these challenges. You will learn how to think in intercultural terms and to work using an interdisciplinary approach. Initial experience in a practical environment is the first step to taking on responsible international management roles in a wide range of different sectors and companies of all sizes.
Career paths
Successful completion of the Master's programme will equip you with extensive professional, social and communication skills for challenging tasks in the field of international management. In the first stage of your professional career, you will be able to be flexibly employed in diverse company functions, depending on your Bachelor's degree and your chosen electives and independent of industry or company size. On completion of the programme, you will have acquired the theoretical and practical tools necessary for responsible management tasks at the corporate or divisional management level. Highly specialised knowledge is often less important in these high-level positions than holistic decision-making skills and the ability to take action, making the generalist focus of your Master's degree particularly worthwhile.
