Master Chemistry

Understanding and Creating Molecules

Our environment consists of a vast variety of molecules. The molecular sciences research their structure and their formation in nature. Chemistry deals with the fascinating world of molecules.


The Master’s degree program comprises compulsory lectures in the core subject areas inorganic and physical chemistry, plus a comprehensive range of electives. Practical training in the laboratory, research projects, industry internship and a five-month Master’s thesis project familiarize students with research work on current subjects.

To complete their training a majority of graduates in this discipline progress to a doctoral program.

  • Advanced lectures in inorganic, organic and physical chemistry
  • Electives, practical laboratory training, industry internship and research project
  • Master’s thesis project (20 weeks)
