Top-up Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management

Top-up Bachelor's degree – 1,5 years – 90 ECTS

As a Sport Management student, you will learn to manoeuvre within the sport, event and leisure industries. Your future jobs may range from running professional sports activities to planning and conducting sporting events.

The Sport Management programme is offered as a Top-up Bachelor's degree programme to graduates from the AP Degree in Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management, AP Degree in Marketing Management, or a similar programme (which could be a Bachelor's degree within a related subject field).

The programme consists of three semesters that includes an internship in a company abroad or in Denmark. The internship will give you the opportunity to use the competencies that you have gained in class and put them into practice.

The programme is taught fully in English. You will be part of an international environment, and you will have the opportunity to build friendships with students from more than 50 different nationalities.

The programme commences each year at the end of August.

The programme is offered at the Cphbusiness Lyngby campus.

Program content

The Top-up Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management is a 1½ year study programme (top-up) consisting of three semesters. The first two semesters will be based on theory and practice whereas the third semester will consist of an internship in a company abroad or in Denmark.

The Sport Management programme is closely related to practice and the lessons are characterised by both lectures and exercises. Group work is a core component of the study programme. Each semester offers a project based on the overall theme and linking all subject areas. As a natural progression, most exams are inter-disciplinary.

The 3rd semester is a specialisation module, which includes an internship in a company or an organisation in Denmark or abroad. It is important that you take an active part in finding the internship that matches the professional profile you want to acquire. The internship will give you the opportunity to use the qualifications that you have obtained in class and put them into practice.

The final bachelor project concludes the programme. The students choose the topic of their bachelor report in consultation with Cphbusiness and preferably with a company as well. This gives you the opportunity to apply principles in practice. Cphbusiness must approve the project outline.

The fees for international students are:
