Program description

BS English

The English Department provides a major, a minor, and a certificate, as well as an area of concentration that can include a degree in secondary education or an endorsement for middle-grades education.

The English curriculum also includes three essential components of the General Education Program and two basic developmental courses.

Admission requirements

GPA: 2.0 (4.0 scale)

(English proficiency tests are for students that don’t have English as their first language)

  • ACT:      19

The admissions team will accept SAT or EPT (English Proficiency test) for admission. We do not need both to be admitted to the university.
