Program description


The Master Degree in Physics provides a solid specialized preparation in the field of modern Physics disciplines, both theoretical and experimental. Students can choose among different curricula to specialize in one of the fields of frontier Physics: Nuclear and Subnuclear Physics, Theoretical Physics, Applied Physics, Materials Physics and Nanoscience. At the end of the course of studies, students will acquire advanced skills to join the world of scientific research or to enter the labour market.

Admission requirements

Admission to the Program is subject to the possession of:

  1. English language proficiency at level B2
  2. a First Cycle Degree obtained in Italy or abroad and recognized to be equivalent, in one of the following classes:
    • ex D.M. 270: Lauree della Classe L-30 - Scienze e Tecnologie Fisiche;
    • ex. D.M. 509/99: Laurea Triennale della classe XXV - Scienze e Tecnologie Fisiche;
    • Previous Italian four-year degree Program system: Laurea in Fisica, Laurea in Astronomia

The Master Degree Programme in Physics offers five curricula:

  • Materials Physics and Nanoscience
  • Theoretical Physics
  • Nuclear and Subnuclear Physics
  • Applied Physics
  • Didattica E Storia Della Fisica (taught in Italian)
