The Postgraduate Program in Civil Engineering, at the Master's level, with an area of ​​concentration in Construction Engineering, corresponds to the result of the Evolution Process of the Department of Civil Engineering at UNICAP. The course in question intends to assist professionals in Civil Engineering, Architecture, as well as other areas that have some relationship with Civil Engineering, as long as they present research projects related to the lines that the Program offers, encouraging the development of research in the Northeast Region of Brazil. Biomedical Engineering is the application of engineering in biology and medicine. It is a strategic area for Brazil, which requires the dissemination and production of knowledge for scientific and technological progress aiming at the well-being, prevention and rehabilitation of diseases.

Approved by CAPES in 2012, the PPGEP-CAA, Graduate Program in Production Engineering at the Academic Center of Agreste is the first Academic Master's course in Production Engineering in the Northeast region of Brazil.

Candidates with an undergraduate degree in forestry engineering, biology, agronomy, industrial wood engineering, environmental engineering and related fields can enroll in the Master's course in Forest Engineering.

The PPGEM - Graduate Program in Mineral Engineering aims at academic training at Master and Doctorate levels, qualifying graduates in the fundamentals and applications of Mineral Engineering, preparing them for the exercise of activities both in educational institutions and / or research as directly with the production system. The courses are accredited by CAPES. The Master in Mineral Engineering started its activities in March 1998 and the Doctorate in 2015; both provide training in two areas of concentration: Lavra de Minas and Mineral Treatment. The professional trained by this program must have a critical view in relation to sustainable development and its applications. The research work that has been developed has a strong support from companies, in the region and beyond, due to its immediate application in the resolution of mining engineering problems.

The Undergraduate Course in Civil Engineering can be completed in five years (10 periods) and is structured in such a way as to provide the classical theoretical foundations and the most advanced techniques currently applicable to solving problems in the area.

The Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering (PPGEE) of the Department of Electrical Engineering (ENE) of the University of Brasília (UnB) originates from a process of dismemberment of the old Graduate Program, of the same name. The old Program started operating in 1979, with the academic master's course, and in 2000, it had implemented the doctoral course. The break up was approved by CAPES in 2009, but the beginning of the new phase of the PPGEE started with the entry of the first students from March 2010.

The Graduate Program in Civil Engineering (PROEC) at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS) was authorized by CAPES on December 10, 2010, as stated in the Recommendation Form - APCN / CAPES, and officially began its activities on January 3, 2011, with the announcement of the Call for Applications for candidates for the academic master's course. The first class, with 10 students, started its activities on March 15, 2011. In 2018, there are already 33 regular students taking a master's degree in Civil Engineering at UFS.

The Specialization Course in Occupational Safety Engineering offered by Universidade Federal Fluminense offers this course only to professionals with a degree in Full Engineering and Architecture (according to Law No. 7,410 / 85). We aim to train professionals with the capacity to intervene in the productive process of industries and in-service providers and who have the capacity to design, develop, implement Quality, productivity improvement, Operational Safety, and Environmental Management programs. The trained professional will acquire a systemic view of the Industrial Security / Business Management areas and will be familiar with the secrets of operational technique in the industry, with a more complete humanistic and ethical training, developing in terms of human contacts and communication.

Environmental engineering and basic sanitation will train professionals able to absorb and develop new technologies and act in the diagnosis of environmental problems; Train professionals with the ability to research, develop and find solutions that allow the coexistence of different human activities with the environment; Offer content for a clear understanding of the performance of environmental and sanitary engineering that requires integration between different fields of knowledge, with an emphasis on the areas of water resources, environmental sanitation, assessment and monitoring of the environmental impacts of the industrial and urban sector and management and evaluation of natural resources.

The connection between different areas to enhance specific results is increasingly common. This is the case of the specialization in Quality and Productivity Engineering, which trains professionals in order to carry out the management of the production line by applying and monitoring the quality indexes and also acting in the selection, training, and development of the team of professionals in charge of production.

The fundamental aspects that guided the creation of the course were solid theoretical concepts in the areas of structural calculation and mechanical manufacturing combined with practical classes in order to support the theoretical subjects taught in the classroom. This course was developed in line with the engineering sector of Vale do Rio Doce, which has had structural and manufacturing problems in its equipment. This partnership would make it possible to improve the company's practical knowledge combined with the theoreticians of PUC Minas in order to disseminate this knowledge with gains for the whole of society.

The Professional Master's course in Civil Engineering, recommended by CAPES at the 160th Meeting of the Technical-Scientific Council for Higher Education (CTC-ES), held from October 19 to 23, 2015, aims to improve the qualification of professionals for this area, to promote the improvement in the application of new and traditional materials, as well as to develop applied research in the area through the deepening and production of knowledge in the material science lines (of physical, chemical and structural qualities) and technology of materials, products, and applications in construction systems. This training must culminate in the elaboration of a Course Conclusion Paper, linked to one of the lines of research, presented in a public session to an examining board.

It is valued for the solid training of a professional with the ability to conduct research independently, managing to work on research projects, to generate well-founded, innovative, and sustainable solutions, in diverse themes of Mechanical Engineering. In addition, the master in Mechanical Sciences, trained at PPGMEC / UFG, must be able to act as a teacher who disseminates scientific and technological knowledge, in order to contribute to the quality of teaching in the region and in the country. And, finally, it must be able to interact with its peers, at the national and international level, understanding, adapting, and obtaining solutions, which are on the frontier of national and world knowledge, for the progress of the region and the country.
