The program features various specializations, allowing students to tailor their studies to their interests.
Career Outcomes: Graduates can pursue careers in multiple sectors, including telecommunications, energy, robotics, and academia. Potential positions include electrical engineer, systems designer, and research and development engineer. The skills acquired also open doors to leadership and management roles in technical teams.

The Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering (PPGEE) of the Department of Electrical Engineering (ENE) of the University of Brasília (UnB) originates from a process of dismemberment of the old Graduate Program, of the same name. The old Program started operating in 1979, with the academic master's course, and in 2000, it had implemented the doctoral course. The break up was approved by CAPES in 2009, but the beginning of the new phase of the PPGEE started with the entry of the first students from March 2010.

The transitional process required the dedication of PPGEE members in some activities to close the old Program that extended until 2014 when the last doctoral theses related to students from the old Program were defended.

As a result, the PPGEE continues with part of the activities of the old Program, within a new context and with redefined objectives.
