International Studies Center offers complex and integrated preparatory programs in Hungarian Language Courses for degree studies that meet the language development needs of international students and facilitate their integration into the context of higher education in Hungary.

The Carpatho-Rusyns are one of these, with a rich cultural tradition and a distinct language spoken across several countries in the Carpathian region. The University of Prešov in the city of Prešov, Slovakia, announces its 14th annual three-week Studium Carpatho-Ruthenorum International Summer School for Rusyn Language and Culture to be held from June 7 – 27, 2026.

This One-Year program in Norwegian Language and Society is a perfect start if you are qualified for and want to continue at one of the Three-Year bachelor's degrees in Engineering or the Two-Year Master's degree program in Integrated Building Technology at the Faculty of Engineering Science and Technology in Narvik.

The one-year, full-time academic program in Romanian as a Foreign Language is addressed to foreign citizens who wish to gain entry onto a Romanian degree program (at bachelor, master, Ph.D. level), as well as post-graduate and advanced training programs in various fields. The program also meets the needs of expatriates who work in Romania and who want to acquire a formal language certification. The course aims at developing international students" skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in Romanian for academic purposes. By the end of the course, students will have reached level B2 of the Common European Framework.

The Preparatory Year for Learning Romanian for Foreign Citizens is mandatory for those students who wish to pursue their studies (high school, university) in Romania, and do not have a Romanian language certificate.

NZIoS English Language Development courses are designed to help students make accelerated progress in learning in each of the core four English Language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking and with concentration on vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. The courses allow students to study EL at any level from one to three and progress through levels one to three. For students aspiring to advance further the courses prepare students for Academic English programmes at level 4 and Level 5.These courses will equip you to communicate in English independently so you can converse in familiar, everyday life situations in an English language environment.

The Piikani Studies&Language Associate Degree prepares students for bachelor's study in Native American Studies, Education, Law, or Philosophy. Every student in Piikani Studies&Language will experience the growth of their Piikani knowledge and critical thought through writing, reading, enriched discussions, and verbal and written analysis.

This qualification is intended for learners of English as an additional language, who attend NZQA approved programmes delivered in Aotearoa New Zealand or off-shore. The qualification is at a level comparable to the Common European Framework or Reference (CEFR) B2. It allows the kiwi community, employers and educational institutions to recognise the level at which the graduate can use English for general, workplace or academic purposes.

This qualification is intended for candidates of English as an additional language, who wish to pursue academic study requiring high levels of English language competency. Graduates will have the language skills required to communicate independently and effectively in a wide range of familiar and unfamiliar situations with fluency and flexibility in academic contexts. This qualification is at a level comparable to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) high B2. This qualification allows educational institutions and professional bodies to recognise the level at which the graduate can use English for academic purposes.

The NZIOS NZCEL (Applied) (Level 3) programme aims to develop students’ language skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening which will be applied to a specific academic context. The targeted learners are students who are living overseas or in NZ who wish to improve their English proficiency so as to progress through an education pathway to successfully access higher tertiary education options in New Zealand, or internationally. The programme consists of 27 credits from the five EAP unit standards and 35 credits from five unit standards in the English Language domain. The unit standards for the NZCEL (Applied) Level 3 are specified in the NZCEL Guiding Document (May 2019).
