This Child and Adolescent Development AA-T is designed specifically for students interested in the interdisciplinary fields of Child and Adolescent Development, in addition to teaching. The degree provides students with the lower division preparation required for transfer to California State Universities (CSU) to pursue alternative career paths with an emphasis in Child Development.

This program is designed for students desiring to transfer to a four-year college or to meet requirements to work in public or private childcare facilities. The AA degree in Child Development will be awarded upon satisfactory completion of the Major course requirements and the General Education requirements. The Child Development AA degree includes the State Curriculum Alignment Project (CAP) courses.

This degree is designed to facilitate the student's transfer to the California State University System with an Associate Degree in Child and Adolescent Development.

This certificate prepares the holder to provide service in the care, development, and instruction of children in a child development program. The twelve core units include EAR 20, 24, 28, and 42 and form the foundation upon which further early childhood coursework is built.
