Students will be taught a variety of subjects related to the field of mining and mineral resources. This includes financial, environmental, political as well as legal aspects of national and international mining projects. In addition to the standard courses taught by staff from partner universities and industry experts, massive open online courses are offered for the students.

This is a joint MSc programme of Wrocław University of Science and Technology and University of Miskolc (Hungary) formatted as structured student mobility. Wrocław University of Science and Technology students study two semesters in Wrocław (the first and the third semesters) while the second semester is offered by the University of Miskolc. Students apply for an Erasmus Plus grant for the mobility period. In the third semester, the students write and defend their Master's thesis at Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

Designed for those interested in gaining entrance to and/or a competitive advantage in the mineral exploration job market. This program provides students with the entry-level knowledge and skills to function as a valuable member of a mineral exploration team on projects in grassroots exploration to mine-site exploration. The two-semester program incorporates both classroom teaching and valuable hands-on experience during a culminating two-week field school. The modular format and distance or in-class delivery of this program provide the flexibility for students to study while maintaining their employment and caters to students in remote northern communities.
