Campus Facilities and Resources

You’ll spend a lot of time on campus, so we want to make sure you feel comfortable and connected. Our campuses feature modern facilities and the latest technology to personalise and enhance your learning experience. This includes comfortable lounges, group study areas, and a kitchen for quick meals, all connected by a campus-wide wireless network.

Learning Spaces

  • Classrooms: Our modern classrooms seat 25-35 students, depending on class size. They are all equipped with audio-visual equipment and a whiteboard.
  • Practice Training Spaces: Our practice training spaces are used for classroom learning to enhance your practical skills.
  • Aged Care: Practice caregiving and interpersonal skills in realistic simulation labs with essential equipment such as hospital beds, lifting and transfer aids, including hoists, and assistive equipment such as wheelchairs and walking frames.
  • Counselling: Practice your communication skills in our student counselling clinic that reflects workplace conditions, including realistic client information and resources.
  • Early Childhood Education and Care: Learn to create inclusive and engaging experiences for children in classrooms filled with practical educational resources and supplies, including toys, books, instruments, high chairs, change tables, supplies for bottle preparation, and craft.
  • Fitness: Learn to design exercise programs in premium commercial fitness facilities such as Fitness First and Goodlife Health Clubs.
  • Yoga: Engage in yoga practice in our purpose-built on-campus yoga studios as well as external studio spaces.

CANVAS, Learning Management System

Canvas, our Learning Management System, acts as a comprehensive student portal at ALG. It provides easy online access to essential student resources, including timetables and online learning materials.

Canvas provides access to course materials, videos, the Student Handbook, policies, as well as access to updates, surveys, and forums for your course. Students can also communicate with staff and students, submit assessments, view results, receive feedback, participate in online activities, and book appointments for academic support and counselling services.

Accessible Facilities for Students with Disabilities

The majority of ALG campuses and training centres are wheelchair-friendly and offer disabled toilets. We encourage prospective students with disabilities to contact ALG before enrolling to discuss their individual requirements and ensure suitable arrangements are in place, especially in cases where training facilities are not directly managed by ALG.

    We run various events on campus each term to encourage student engagement and provide our students with the opportunity to come together and share their interests and participate in activities. We acknowledge various awareness days such as International Women’s Day, R U OK Day, Mental Health Month, etc, as well as run social events like Heritage Days, Easter, Halloween, Christmas celebrations and much more!
