The Foundation Year is a nine-month, full immersion preparatory course in Italian for international students willing to enroll in a BA taught in Italian at #UNIPAVIA. The Foundation Year is aimed at students who do not meet the minimum requirement – 12 years of schooling – to access the Italian higher education system.

The General Studies: Humanities major offers an opportunity to customize a bachelor’s degree program to help students meet their academic goals and prepare for a variety of professions or for graduate school. Liberal Arts in Humanities is a 3-year study programme that provides wide knowledge in the humanities and develops intellectual abilities and critical thinking. The student is not limited to only one field, but has a choice of various humanities disciplines, such as anthropology, Asian studies, English studies, Eastern-European studies, literary and cultural studies, environmental humanities and cultural analysis. They are free to combine these disciplines into a tailor-made interdisciplinary curriculum according to their personal goals and interests.
