The study curriculum makes it possible to conduct research in the field of a selected discipline of humanities in the conditions of individual and team interdisciplinarity.

You will deepen your knowledge in the field of a selected scientific discipline in the interdisciplinary environment, thanks to which you will be able to place your competence related to a given discipline in a wider context, you will develop your research and teaching workshop and acquire soft skills that can be used in the future both in academic work as well as in professional activities of a non-academic nature.

After graduating from the University of Lodz Doctoral School of Humanities and defending their doctoral dissertation, a graduate is awarded a PhD degree in humanities in one of eight disciplines: archaeology, history, philosophy, linguistic knowledge, literary studies, cultural and religious studies, art studies, ethnology, and cultural anthropology.

The studies last 8 semesters and they are full-time studies (the classes are held during working days). They are free of charge.
