125 Performing Arts Certificate Programs

The Independent Artist Program at Musicians Institute (MI) offers educational experience for singers, songwriters, DJs, producers, rappers, and instrumentalists seeking to control their artistic destiny in the music market. This equips students with the technical knowledge and professional skills.

Accessible after high school or higher education, this one-year French as a Foreign Language & Audiovisual program will help students reach a sufficient level of written, spoken French and fundamental knowledge of filmmaking in order to pursue a higher education in France in the audiovisual fields.

The Higher Certificates (HC) courses at AFDA are 1-year NQF level 5 programs designed to lay a foundation of basic skills and learning to enter the creative economy at an assistant level, as well as enable further access to degree level education for the first year in the BA or BCom degrees at AFDA. The Higher Certificate in Film, Television and Entertainment Production focuses on basic technical and/or production skills important for the running of a film or television set.

The Artist Certificate in Music Performance is designed for aspiring professional musicians who demonstrate outstanding performance ability and seek to advance their performance career. The certificate complements a traditional degree, may prepare the student for additional formal study, and gives the performer the mentor, performance, and industry connections for a career in performing arts.

The one-year Certificate in Musical Theatre has US accreditation with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). This program offers a conservatory and holistic musical theatre program, one that not only concentrates on a participatory performance perspective but also prepares students for a wide and exciting range of careers available in the performing arts industry.

Fulfills a portion of the Associate of Arts degree in Music.

The Musical Theatre Program is a dynamic training experience for students who seek a professional career in Musical Theatre. The curriculum is fundamentally craft-based, offering rich and intensive courses in singing, acting, music, and dancing. We also have a commitment to bringing in guest artists and other visiting professionals to complement our existing curriculum. Our comprehensive course of study requires that students who successfully complete the program must be motivated, committed, hard workers, as well as gifted. Students must demonstrate continued progress and development and pass ongoing faculty evaluations in order to remain in the program. Performance opportunities include Performance Riverside, a semi-professional theatre located on the campus of Riverside City College, which is home to a season of three productions each year, and, our flexible black box space which produces 1-2 productions each year.

Theatre endeavors to create with and for its students, a learning environment that is inclusive and representative of its community as a whole. We encourage students to develop their artistic expression and technical ability in preparation for their continuing education and future careers. Our hope is to challenge and channel students' talents into having an equitable, local, and global impact as artists, technicians, educators, audience members, and supporters of the arts. This program will provide training in basic technical theatre skills for career employment in production and performance within the Theatre Industry.

Enhance your Filmmaking skills, knowledge, and understanding with BIMM University’s practical CertHE Screen and Film. This one-year course offers an exciting opportunity for filmmakers to delve into their craft through engaging lectures, workshops, and the creation of a comprehensive creative portfolio exploring the vibrant city of Berlin. This course is available at  BIMM University Berlin (Germany) but is currently not available to international students who require sponsorship of a Student Route Visa.

Learn to communicate information, entertainment, and ideas through film and television. Plan and produce a variety of genres in film and television.

The Pilates/Dance Conditioning Instructor certificate is designed to prepare individuals to teach the Pilates Method of body conditioning using the full range of Pilates apparatus as well as the mat work repertoire, the foundation of the Pilates Method. Individuals will be trained to work with beginning to advanced level students and special populations, including dancers and athletes.
