The Program is geared towards providing you with solid and deep knowledge of both the Ancient Greek and the Chinese civilizations from a comparative perspective and towards preparing you for higher research in the field.

Our Modern World History course offers you the chance to study the history of global, political, economic, and cultural interactions, the history of empires and the transnational histories of Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and the Americas.

History remains among the most fascinating and best-loved of the arts and social science disciplines, and this is an exceptional degree which makes the most of our unique West End location. The course is modern, with a focus on British and European history, but there are many opportunities to study American, imperial and global history as well.
