This new course, and the first dental postgraduate programme at BSMS, draws upon the experience of senior and established dental implant surgeons and restorative specialists in Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

This program covers preventive dentistry, nutrition, dental health, restorative dentistry, dental sciences, dental radiography, and dental specialities such as endodontics, periodontics, pedodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.

The Dental Assisting Curriculum prepares the individual to assist the dentist in delivering dental treatment and function as integral members of the dental team while performing chairside and related office and laboratory procedures.

Since the establishment of the Specialization - Dental Technique - in the second year on the 2nd semester, the Total Prosthesis Technology is taught. The course is taught by the Head of Works Dr. Ștefârță Alexandru.

The main objective of this course is for the attendees to master the dental implant placement technique, maintaining respect for biology, in the search for the least possible trauma in the placement of dental implants.

A founding fellow in OMFS-SA is an ACVS Diplomate who has obtained additional training and experience or has demonstrated expertise in OMFS, beyond surgery residency training and devotes a major portion of their professional effort prevention diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of OMFS-SA patients.
