The Professional Master's Degree in Nursing in Primary Health Care at the University of the State of Santa Catarina (UDESC) started in August 2017, after recommendation by CAPES in 2016. The Master's program aims to qualify nurses to exercise advanced and transformative professional practice, meet social, organizational, or professional demands and the labor market, promote the articulation between professional training with demanding entities of different natures, aiming to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of public and private organizations through problem-solving and the generation and application of innovation processes.

The nurse is qualified to assist the individual or the community in relation to the prevention of diseases, to exercise specific care during the treatment and rehabilitation of the individual with the disease. He is capable of directing a nursing body that is part of the basic structure of the health institution, leading services, and specific nursing units.

The stricto sensu graduate, Paulista Nursing School, Universidade Federal de São Paulo, began in 1978. The current Nursing Graduate Program was redesigned in 2008 and offers training in the levels of master's degree, doctoral and post-doctoral. The program has the scope to prepare masters, PhDs, and postdocs able to expand, consolidate and disseminate the science of nursing, promoting transformative practices and disseminating education and research, contributing individually and collectively to social-political, and ethical issues, improving the quality of population health and care.

The Undergraduate Nursing course at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo began its didactic-pedagogical activities on March 26, 2001. The foundations of the Nursing course are based on the human being, focusing on assistance, well-being being, prevention and health promotion in different areas.

The main attribute of the Nursing course is to offer comprehensive training to the student that allows them to carry out Caring with all the capacity that the profession must have, in different areas of health. During graduation, the future nurse will learn to intervene in health problems and conditions and also to act in direct assistance to patients and their families.

The Pedagogical Project of the UNIFENAS Nursing Course leads to the training of generalist professionals and addresses actions that improve teaching for the training of those committed to improving the life of the community.
