The aim of the Department of Astronomy and Space Sciences Graduate Program is to educate modern scientists who are specialized in different subfields in the field of Astronomy and Space Sciences; can derive new information using his/her accumulations in the field of basic mathematics, physics and astronomy and space sciences; can create a new topic and field of study keeping abreast of current news in science end technology;

Statistical Analysis is one of the basic means of the modern scientific thinking, together with stochastic modeling. Statistical techniques, because of the need of getting accurate and coherent results from the acquired data, are beneficial in many fields, such as business administration, economics, computer, medical sciences, actuary, and administration.

Financial Mathematics is the branch of applied mathematics concerned with the financial markets. It overlaps heavily with the fields of financial engineering and computational finance. Arguably, all three terms are synonymous. The subject naturally has a close relationship with the discipline of financial economics, but financial mathematics is narrower in scope and more abstract.

The interdisciplinary Biosecurity program is a model of research and training, which focuses on critical issues in health, science, and security intersections. Courses include the scientific foundations of biosecurity, the technologies used in this field and possibilities for future use, practices to prevent and illuminate bioterrorist attacks, national and international regulations, as well as providing information and skills to assess the risks posed by bio attacks on public health and safety, creating strategies that will prepare large masses against biological attacks and deal with stress and fear.
