Our Graduate School aims to foster researchers and educators to become specialist nurses with advanced nursing practice competence and able to promote improvement in the quality of life (QOL) and well-being of people who have various levels of health and have a diversity of values.

Graduate program courses consist of the 3 areas of 'The Field of Basic Nursing', 'The Field of Common Foundation', and 'The Specialized Fields'. 'The Field of Basic Nursing' is made up of 5 compulsory subjects, and in order to cultivate specialist practical nursing skills, they form the foundation of each of the specialized fields. 'The Field of Common Foundation' constitutes 10 elective subjects, providing students with a wide range of insights and offering multi-disciplinary perspectives and learning opportunities that can be put to use in nursing practice. 'The Specialized Fields' consist of the 9 domains of Nursing Management, Basic Nursing, Maternity, and Child Health Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Adult Health Nursing, Oncology Nursing, Gerontological Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, and Community Health Nursing, each of which is studied through between 4 to 8 taught courses and practical seminars. In regard to assignments and research in each domain, students are able to deepen both their practical and theoretical understanding by choosing to explore their own particular areas of interest.

This degree is designed for registered nurses wanting to develop research skills that have practical application for innovations in the health care industry and scholarly understanding of nursing practice. It enables informed participation in research endeavours and clinical practice innovation and improvement. In this degree, students extend and deepen their knowledge of a specialised area in nursing through a program of supervised research.

The goal of our master's program is to train future pioneers in the health, healthcare, and welfare fields, professionals who are broad-visioned, ethical-minded, and are ready to promote the kinds of research and education that emphasize the value of human dignity while working hand-in-hand with various health-related institutions.

The Graduate School of Nursing provides training aimed at those who qualify as a health nurse, midwife, or clinical nurse (including future qualification of these), as a nursing practitioner with advanced nursing skills and investigative thinking ability in clinical practice, nursing administrators with a high level of management skills, and educators and researchers specializing in nursing science.

This division enables students to develop their skills to provide quality nursing care based on the most current expertise of medical and nursing care, through collaborations with various types of medical professionals. We aim in particular to train educators and researchers who are able to contribute to the development of nursing science, enhancing their pedagogical capabilities to prepare the next generation of nursing practitioners and to improve the practical abilities of on-site nursing staff.

The school possesses the biggest nursing department and the only department of midwifery. We cultivate all levels of outstanding nurses in southern Taiwan. The students are recruited by all the major hospitals before graduating. This school has the mission to increase nursing qualities and promote the national health welfare.

Programme Aims －　In alignment with the educational philosophy of “From Personhood to Benevolence”, to cultivate students into talents who can lead forward the development of the nursing profession as expected by society; －　To nurture students to apply research outcomes, innovate nursing practice, whereby prepare students for serving as experts who can take educative and leadership roles in a clinical setting; －　To prepare students for pursuing programmes of higher level. Programme Intended Learning Outcomes (PILO)： Upon completion of the Programme, graduates will be able to: －　Comprehensively apply and expand professional knowledge to solve complicated nursing problems with an evidence-based approach. －　Design multidisciplinary work plans to provide high-quality nursing service for individuals, families, and communities. －　Demonstrate the ability to apply the latest knowledge and technology to enhance the quality of nursing service. －　Be equipped with the capacity of conducting academic research in a related field. －　Evaluate health-related issues and analyze health data and policy. －　Acquire international insight and lead the development of Macao’s nursing profession.

The aim of this faculty is to develop human resources who can contribute to regional healthcare and become responsible for the comprehensive healthcare system, and also bridge health, medical care, and welfare, while appropriately utilizing ICT. Also, it is to pave the way for students’ future careers and contribute to the development of academics related to healthcare information. Therefore, the keyword of our faculty is “Self-reliance” and “Co-creation” based on our educational principle, “Modern Practical Sciences”. This faculty provides an education that fuses “Nursing” and “Informatics” and that centered on three core competencies: “ability to learn from practice”, “basic abilities required for professionals” and “ability to utilize ICT”.

In order to respond to the changing needs of local communities and of an increasingly complex society, while keeping pace with the ever-evolving specialization of nursing, UoM's Graduate School of Nursing Science aims to foster researchers, educators, and practitioners who can develop their potential and play an active role in the field of health and medical welfare. The graduate school comprises the Training Course for Researchers and Training Course for Advanced Practice Nurses, as well as a special course for midwife candidates preparing for the examination in Training Course for Advanced Practice Nurses.

This course prepares nurses to advance their careers in a range of diverse and challenging roles. Developed in close consultation with industry stakeholders, our course is contemporary and responsive, ensuring that graduates are well prepared to meet the current and future needs of the healthcare system. Specialisations in leadership, quality and safety, acute care and chronic and complex care, along with a renewed range of other subjects which incorporate up-to-the-minute evidence and content, are all intended to positively impact outcomes for health care consumers.

The Master’s Nursing program at the Hungkuang University College of Nursing aims at educating students to become Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs), who have corresponding professional function roles as Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) and/or Nurse Practitioners (NP).

Graduate Program for Midwifery launched in April 2010. This program aims to foster the midwives who will have advance knowledge and accurate skills in midwifery and who can contribute to maternal health and welfare in the community based on Nursing with hospitality and care.
