The NTU ASE Master’s by Research (MbR) program is 1.5 to 2 years. In addition to working on their research, students are required to complete 9 Academic Units of classes, which roughly translates to three courses, including one required communications course, and two electives. Students work closely with a faculty advisor to define their research project and select classes.

Department of Occupational Hygiene gives students the specialized knowledge that is required to maintain workers’ health and create a safe and comfortable working environment, by improving the basic academic abilities that the students learned in high school. In response to the huge demand for human resources in finding technological solutions for drinking water and wastewater treatment as well as for climate change adaptation in Vietnam, the Master program “Water - Environment - Oceanography”, one of six priorities in the USTH training program, has been created since November 2009.
