The MA/ MSc Innovation Design Engineering (IDE) programme is a unique double Master’s Programme that has been run jointly with Imperial College London for 40 years. The programme aims to create a new type of innovator, one who will be a global leader in the integration of design, engineering, science and enterprise, and distinctively positioned to tackle the volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous challenges society and the planet face.

Masters in Control of Machines and Processes as a graduate of the master's study program Machine and Process Control, you will gain the knowledge necessary for the design of technological process control and production lines. Knowledge of automatic control, applied mechanics, electronics, microprocessor technology, and signal processing will allow you to optimize the design of control algorithms for the technological process.

This study programme is aimed to promote the acquisition of theoretical knowledge, research, and development and to lead students to apply this knowledge and develop their creative facilities. The graduates will have basic knowledge in the field of machine engineering and specific knowledge of machines and equipment design.

It should also be mentioned that the latter is completed with a transversal core competence related to Project, where it is intended to consolidate the knowledge acquired within the two mentioned scientific areas, by exploring the synergies among the two thematic areas.

Master in Integrated Design in Building Construction, is a postgraduate course with a duration of 2 Years/4 semesters (120 ECTS), essentially directed at students already graduated - and, even, professional activity - in the areas of Civil Engineering and Architecture, which aims to recreate, within the framework of a specialized academic training, the most efficient model of multidisciplinary development of building projects, referred as IPD Integrated Project Delivery.

The second cycle of the specialisation in Transport Engineering aims to provide a solid and comprehensive training in the conception, design, and operation of transport infrastructures, namely road, rail, air, and maritime.

Chemical Engineering involves the development of sustainable and safe Processes to convert raw materials into value-added products. In a word, “Transformation”! Thus, a Chemical Engineer is devoted to the design, development, sizing, improvement, application and operation of Processes (chemical, physical or biological) that allow the desired Products to be obtained.

Master in Materials Engineering provides advanced education in materials engineering, with two fields of specialization: a more generalized education in materials and another in metallurgy. The study cycle offers a background in materials science and technology, focusing on product design, processing technologies, and characterization techniques, addressing all classes of materials in the specialization on materials and, more specifically, metallic materials in the case of the specialization in metallurgy. This is complemented with education in management and interdisciplinary competencies.
