Train professionals, specialists and researchers, in each area of ​​design, architecture and technologies; in the various dimensions of heritage architecture in its rural and urban context, to understand the development of science applied to the design and construction of vernacular housing, the application, adoption and adaptation of new technologies; in the design with historical, pre-Hispanic, regional and related antecedents to the cultural and social environment of the Mesoamerican cultures of southeast Mexico; in the attention of the requirements that the Oaxacan society, regional and national, demands in and for the architectural and urban solutions of its population centers; to intervene participative in the workplace and contribute to the detection and possible solution of associated problems, promoting collaboration between professionals and the creation of networks that facilitate the generation, dissemination and application of knowledge by the public, academic and private sector .

To train human resources of high academic level with a theoretical and methodological capacity to generate and apply knowledge in the field of architecture and urban planning, with a social and environmental vision so that they contribute to the sustainability of urban development.

General Objective: To train highly trained professionals who, using the research tool in the knowledge of the main problems of architecture and regional and national urbanism, influence (from academic specialization at a higher level or the public or private exercise of their practice professional) in a greater understanding and critical reflection of the same that are translated into the permanent improvement of teaching and the proposal and application of appropriate solutions to the various forms of disciplinary practice and the social reality of our region. Duration: 2 years

The Master's Degree in Processes and Graphic Expression in Urban-Architectural Projection is an academic program that is based at the University Center of Art, Architecture, and Design (CUAAD) of the University of Guadalajara.

The Master's program in Urban Development was opened in 1976 and between that date and 1995, it trained 139 students in nine classes. After an important modification to the study plan, in the 1995-1997 class, the program changed its name to Masters in Urban Studies, from which up to 2019 216 students graduated in twelve promotions, while, in the thirteenth class, 2019-2021, there are 19 students. The Master's program is designed with a flexible structure and transdisciplinary orientation. Likewise, as a result of the collective effort of students, teaching staff, and administrative staff, since 2007 the program has been distinguished in the National Postgraduate Register of the National Quality Postgraduate Program (PNPC) of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) in the International Competition category.

The Master's Degree in Sustainable Urban Architectural Design aims to train professionals in architectural urban design with cutting-edge knowledge that integrate the Theory of Form and Sustainability to propose optimal alternatives in the design of spaces that promote quality of life.

To train men and women of integrity who, with a vocation for service, social sensitivity, excellent ethical training and are able to: Generate quality architectural projects, as well as deepen theoretical and historical knowledge contemporaries under the dynamics of research and criticism of the discipline. Solve architectural projects based on advanced design processes. Examine phenomena related to aesthetics and architectural expression. Recognize theoretical positions that condition the design of the architectural object and its urban implication. Transfer the tools of applied research to solve architectural design problems. Analyze technological alternatives in order to materialize the architectural object in an innovative way. Know and use modeling systems and digital architectural expression applied to design architecture.

In affinity with national and international efforts to combat the environmental impacts of the construction of the environment, this master's degree responds in an interdisciplinary way to the growing environmental and social deterioration to which urban spaces are exposed on a local, territorial, national and global scale.

It is the first postgraduate degree that is taught mainly under the distance modality (through the ENVIA 3.0 platform) at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana and covers a gap in postgraduate studies specialized in environmental issues since in this master's degree they are approached from the perspective of the social sciences, while most of the existing postgraduate courses in this area approach environmental problems from the agronomic and biological sciences or engineering. In the case of our master's degree, we seek the training of researchers and professionals who contribute to the construction of sustainability regarding the specific conditions of production, social organization, and cultural creation of the societies in which they have an impact.

Train professionals, specialists, and researchers, in each area of ​​urban planning, urban management, and environmental impact in their rural and urban context, to understand and propose social, economic, political, and technical guidelines, according to development, with the viability to generate proposals for socially consensual land use planning; in the attention of the requirements that the Oaxacan society, regional and national, demands in and for urban solutions and territorial reorganization of and, in its population centers; to intervene participative in the workplace and contribute to the detection and possible solution of associated problems, promoting collaboration between professionals and the creation of networks that facilitate the generation, dissemination and application of knowledge by the public, academic and private sectors.

The Master's Degree in Urban Planning of the Center for Design and Construction Sciences and the Department of Theory and Methods has the mission of contributing to the sustainable development of human settlements through the training of professionals trained in the area; taking as fundamental premises the integral and multidisciplinary approach of the urban phenomenon, the prospective vision and the participation of society; and, promoting the values of a critical, responsible and sensitive attitude towards social problems, commitment to the sustainable development of cities and promotion of teamwork.

The Master's Degree in Sustainable Water Management (MAGESA) offered by the Water and Society Program of El Colegio de San Luis is a postgraduate course aimed at research and training researchers and professionals for equitable, democratic, and sustainable water management. It is a multidisciplinary and consolidated program, face-to-face, open every two years, with a four-semester study plan that takes two years and requires full-time exclusive dedication. The research lines intertwine academic learning strategies, research questions, and field practices of students and teachers. The curricular organization is flexible and favors academic mobility and fieldwork for students. Promotes significant progress in research work to obtain a degree, so that students conclude the master's thesis at the end of the fourth semester.

The master's in Interior Design seeks that its applicants are capable of designing the interior space with the most suitable solution for the environment inhabited by human beings. Applying the concept of interior design and its typology, as well as the basic elements and standards of design, functional, aesthetic, environmental, and psycho-social techniques. We want to train graduates capable of solving problems through innovative proposals; know and handle the most advanced topics in the international arena regarding urban-architectural thought. To train critical, analytical, and creative specialists in Interior Design with a theoretical-methodological vision for the design of sustainable interior projects that respect the built space, the environment, and the social context through the comprehensive and professional use of interior elements such as lighting. , the color, the materials, and finishes that provide support for the conception and comprehensive execution of projects in the residential and commercial field in an individual and collective practice of great complexity applicable to companies or institutions of different scales.

This postgraduate program guides the training of human resources, directing the civil engineering area towards the specialization of professionals in structural, construction and environmental engineering, capable of participating in the different phases of the design, construction and maintenance of buildings, as well as in the management of work and its waste, with a vision of creating a first world society and achieving sustainable building models that are characterized by presenting during their construction and operation: energy savings, optimization of natural and human resources, and a minimization of waste.
