Our Management with Professional Experience MA is a distinctive two-year course that combines academic study with extended professional practice. Alongside completing the same modules as our one-year Management MA, you’ll undertake a substantial work placement or internship of at least 500 hours, gaining valuable real-world insight and connections.

In a turbulent, rapidly changing business environment, the demand for HR professionals who can strategically manage and develop staff potential – while overcoming issues such as redundancy, flexible working and the recent challenges of furloughed staff and social distancing – has never been more fundamental to business success. Our career-focused MA is fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) and is designed to build your understanding of the theory, practices and policies associated with evidence-based Human Resource Management (HRM) as they relate to real-world situations, equipping you with the knowledge, competencies and analytical skills to effectively manage organisational strategy and operations from an HR perspective. Our problem-based approach to teaching means you’ll get to apply what you learn to manage problems through assignments and projects based on actual situations. We’ll draw on everyday HR issues in the news, case studies and current examples, at times addressing some of our own students’ workplace experiences. You’ll learn to collect and analyse relevant data and information, developing your ability to identify, evaluate and propose the most appropriate solutions looking at issues ranging from flexible working to employee engagement, managing change or reward management.

Our Music Business Management MA is highly regarded in both music business education and the industry at large. It will prepare you to become one of the next generations of music industry leaders and entrepreneurs. All teaching staff on the course have comprehensive professional experience or are currently active in the music industry, and industry guests are a cornerstone of our weekly lectures. You'll need to be a self-motivated and open-minded student, as this is an intense course, but one which can help you to progress your career across a wide range of music business disciplines. Working with music industry leaders and organisations, the course has developed a unique curriculum. You'll be able to combine a strong underpinning of key business skills (entrepreneurialism, leadership, organisational management, and marketing) with essential music industry management knowledge (strategic innovation technology, intellectual property and copyright) and academic concepts and theories relevant to the industry today. Teaching is conducted through sessions which each include a formal lecture, industry guest speaker and seminar exercises. Each of the six modules has a minimum of two assignments. The final project (equivalent to three modules) is a report of a minimum of 12,000 words.

This Business and Management degree provides you with a broad introduction to the fundamental principles of business and management in a rapidly changing, increasingly globalized world. Organizations can no longer delay their digital transformations (DX). The digital future is right now. It is estimated that nearly 40% of all business may disappear in the next 10 years, if these businesses do not transform and accommodate new digital technologies. There is now high demand in many industries for employees equipped with knowledge of digital transformation. After nearly 20 years of offering its globally top-ranked e-Business Management Program, GSIM’s new MA in Digital Management aims for nurturing future leaders who can lead a global business in a digital society by utilizing digital technologies and culture to achieve business growth and to gain competitive advantage. Instructors for the program are professors with cutting-edge research on digital technologies, invited industrial practitioners, and guest speakers worldwide. The case method is a principal pedagogical means in most classes, in addition to others like simulations and real-life global virtual team projects. Our graduates will gain hands-on knowledge of cutting-edge digital technologies (Big Data, blockchain, AI, cloud computing, IoT, cybersecurity, etc.). They will be equipped with knowledge of digital strategies, platforms, business models, digital entrepreneurship and innovation, FinTech, digital marketing/human resource/supply chain, and much more. This is a one-year 90 ECTS Level 9 Masters programme accredited by Maynooth and taught in partnership with the Defence Forces. It is a Closed Programme available only to eligible students completing the Defence Forces Joint Command and Staff Course.

The purpose of this course in MA in Human Resources Counselling is to educate and train professionals who are experts in providing help to organisations and companies regarding any area of human resources management, one of the functional areas of leadership counselling. Special attention will be paid to career-planning and counselling, and a major discipline is devoted to equal opportunity and the treatment of disadvantaged groups.

The main objectives that this Master's program seeks to achieve can be summarized as follows: Appropriation and deepening of concepts, theories and methodology specific to the Department of International Management. At the same time, the master's program aims to deepen knowledge among students through DAAD, ERASMUS and ROTARY scholarships, but also to prepare them professionally for developing the necessary practical skills in German-speaking companies.

The practice-oriented master's program offers specialized general management training for nonprofit organizations and public institutions. Through projects and elective modules, students acquire sound skills and develop a holistic understanding of management that prepares them for future leadership roles.

This programme is organized by the UNESCO Chair in Interculturality, Good Governance and Sustainable Development (Faculty of Philosophy) in partnership with the Universities of Fribourg, Hamburg, Dortmund, Regensburg and Dijon.
