7 Language MA Degree Programs in Netherlands

In the Russian and Eurasian Studies master's programme our experts devote attention to the most recent developments, currently the war in Ukraine. Several courses will provide context and background about this war.

The Master's track in European Literature and Interculturality is located at the Department of European Languages and Cultures. This international, interdisciplinary and multilingual environment offers excellent opportunities for research and immerses them in vibrant networks of experts across different European countries and languages. The following languages can be chosen as major languages: French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.

The MA in Multilingualism offers an excellent combination of knowledge of multilingualism and practical research skills, with easy access to multilingual communities for research. Our degree is focused on career perspectives, and aimed for enterprising minds. You are going to study in a truly international environment, in the wonderful city of Leeuwarden, chosen the European Cultural Capital of 2018.

The MA in English Literature and Culture is an academic humanities degree with a socially relevant focus. We offer you academic excellence with transferable skills, with the resources of a large research university but with small classes (typically 10-15 students), in a friendly ambiance that contributes to our positive student feedback. Our staff has received their doctorates from a mix of Dutch universities and international institutions (Oxford, Cambridge, Toronto, Edinburgh).

The MA in Language and Cognition is linked to the excellent, multidisciplinary research carried out at the Center for Language and Cognition Groningen (CLCG) and the Groningen Research School for Behavioural and Cognitive Neuroscience (BCN). Our lecturers are internationally recognized as experts in their fields, and we offer a research internship (20 ECTS) in the first semester of the second year, which gives you the opportunity to work with big names in your field of interest.

The MA/MSc in Linguistics: Natural Language Processing offers a unique combination of theoretical linguistics and computer-science research in a multi-lingual setting. It is in a rapidly evolving area of study with excellent career opportunities, both in industry and academia. The degree is also part of the Erasmus Mundus Master's Program.
