The Judaic studies program offers students an interdisciplinary perspective on three millennia of Jewish culture: Jewish social, religious, and political history; Jewish literature — biblical, modern, and postmodern; Jewish thought; and modern Israel. The curriculum draws from both the humanities and the social sciences and covers a wide array of topics including modern Hebrew and Yiddish. Judaic studies majors can construct their areas of specialization within the major.

The Bachelor of Science in Integrated Studies degree (recently consolidated with the BS in Liberal Studies) is an interdisciplinary degree program with instruction offered on the MTSU campus as well as online. This degree is extremely flexible and is an excellent option for students seeking a broad-based educational experience or wanting to custom-design a degree program. Those seeking this accelerated path to graduation choose two areas of emphasis (12 hours each) to meet personal and professional goals.

Our Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) is a flexible, highly individualized degree. It is a great way for you to develop a personalized major while completing a bachelor’s degree. You can earn your BGS degree on campus or online and can choose from over 100 areas of study, many that focus on high-demand careers. Outside the classroom, instructors engage in professional endeavors and research projects with you, and they provide individualized advisement and support. Minot State is a campus where you will learn by doing.

The General Studies Diploma (GSD) is a flexible 60 credit program which enables students to choose a variety of 100 and 200 level courses that are most relevant to their personal interests as well as their professional and career goals. Over the course of the program, General Studies Diploma students will gain a breadth of social science and non-social science knowledge and important employability and life skills including critical thinking and problem solving, communication (oral and written) collaboration and teamwork, and, situational and cultural analysis.
